I believe these 2 wires are the tach signal wires ? (correct ?)

Now where would the illumination wire be located?

are you installing an eg cluster into another vehicle/one without a tach?

or installing an aftermarket?

for the ilumination, connect to any 12v switched... (including the ant wire on your radio), and for the signal, you can use a wire off the dist, or (if its the same as the Si), there is a wire in the top righthand part of the engine bay, that goes into nothing but a rubber end - you can tap that as well.

So as i take it ... the only thing i'll really need is a aftermarket radio harness ... and i can just hookup all my connections onto that ....., except for the tach signal ? or is it going to require a cleaner 12v connection then what is already coming to the radio (i don't have a radio in the car btw , i just have a block off plate in it (except for the tach signal wire....ofcourse)

thats right, you can hook them up to the radio, or directly to the fuse panel (its much closer), and run the signal wire through the firewall, through one of the existing grommets, or drill a new hole. if you drill, dont forget to grommet the hole, otherwise the wire can ground and misread.

This is a little late but, The tach wire is located at the two pin blug at the dizzy it will be the blue wire, it is also located at the grey plug by the driver side firewall. (and of course behind the guage cluster and on the ecu) The way to test this wire is to start the car and hook up your volt meter, Place it on the AC current setting, you should read about 5-6 and it will change according to rmps. any more questions about wires just pm me, i'd be glad to help
