can i remove the aux fan switch sensor from the back of my block with no ill effects?....
motor is a 91 b18a...will be staying non vtec for now and i am trying to find a good clean place to plumb a mechanical temp gauge...the car does not have a factory rad fan and it is not being run through the original fan power so i wouuld imagine that this sensor would not be needed? ( back of block, two pin sensor, has wierd pin style connectors coming out...)

the only reason i am asking to remove rather than tee off it is because i was told that if i tee off it it can cause an lower reading on the actual temp, which would defeat my purpose...
please clarify this for me, thanks
