My car is making a deep ticking sound at idle the motor slightly shakes while ticking. turbo is fine i already checked that i just dont know what it could be... also my to radiator pipe is swollen and leaking out the end near the motor. this is really pissing me off and i need to have a running car. give me some suggestions on what it may be... the tranny feels a bit weird like its harder to go into gear sometimes and clutch pedal gives slight vibration when pushing in and letting out. im stumped and this is kinda freaking me out i dont need anymore problems.

 

This sounds like virtually every other 10+ year old car

Try hitting the clutch pedal with some white lithium grease - sand can sometimes cause a sticky or vibrating feel.

When you say "pipe" on the radiator, do you mean the rubber hose or the actual pipe that comes off of the block?

Your ticking could be valve tick - how rapidly does it tick compared to your RPM's?

 

first off let me say i have a 1998 ls motor... im talking about the rubber pipe and i actually feel its my tranny. clutch and flywheel is fine also just checked. the thing is no it wont go into gear.... the engine just makes a weird noise... i think my tranny is low or dry on fluid b/c i found a shitload of it uonder my car and on the shift linkage and intermediate shaft.... could thid make a weird noise... im positive it isnt valve tick...

 

Sounds to me like its actually your throwout bearing..

I would say throwout bearing AND you are low on tranny fluid.....

 

pulled the VSS and the fluid was up to the top. the clutch and fly wheel are fine so... i need some recomendations y it will not go into gear?????? it goes itno gear when the car is off but on it does not... also the slave cylinder is pushing in the clutch in so i know it is not my hydro system.... i hope its not over for my tranny....

 

plus the throwout bearing and piolt and release bearing are all new
