35psi = BOOM!!!!
So coming home from Ybor tonight, I start messing around with Skittle a bit on the interstate... We were both riding 4 deep, so I figured why the hell not, its just for fun... So he drops a gear or two, and I proceed to drop to fourth and follow.... As usual in this cold weather on my shitty ass tires, they broke loose in 4th and she started gettin a little squirly, then I noticed it started getting louder, and more squirly, so i knew something was up... By the time I saw the red light flashing and realized I was at 35 psi, it was too late... BOOM.... I hear that dreaded sound as she loses all power, and just begins to coast... Considering I was doing upward of 120mph, I decide to see how far I can coast it, and I made it down 2 exits to Fowler, where she came to rest at the bottom of the off ramp... Upon further inspection, we made the diagnosis... The head bolts stretched, and the head gasket puked... no hole in the block, no nothing... Just some really milky oil and a severe lack of compression... After letting her sit a few minutes, we got her to start, and somewhat idle, and to my relief, the oil pressure actually went up to where it should be... I knew this motor was a champ, but never expected it to survive something like that... Im hosting a head gasket changing party at my house tomorrow, where I can pull the head off and double check to be 100% sure thats all it is... Until then I will just hope for the best, and catch up on some much needed sleep... Thank god I put larger injectors in my car and pulled as much timing as possible out of the maps above 20psi... I think that, coupled with the added fuel saved my motor...

Chris dont you have some sort of boost cut man? I mean 35lbs? I figured youd have it setup on the SBC or something. Thats a dangerous game to play and I know you played it before but you only get lucky so many times. Good luck and hopefully its nothing major.

Wow Chris that really sucks. I hope everything works out and that you didn't do any further damage. Seriously though.....with my luck lately this is something I'd expect to have happen to myself.....knock on wood.
