block guard question???

Default block guard question???

yea i have a GSR and i'm about to put a turbo on it and i dont have enough money for sleeves, so i need to buy a block guard and i just want to know from experience which is a good brand for a block guard ???

now of course my 2cents on the blockguards this is the best one for the money i have used many many of them no proplems every and thay are not checp like the othere that crack or move http://azracemachine.com/BlokGardDesc.htm

ive used lots of guards and never had heating issues cronic i think they are great for the money they target the part of the sleve that will recieve the most pressure. if your not shooting for 30+psi or some stupid numer you should be ok with a guard and PROPER TUNING the tuning is where you want to spend your money !

The one rangcrx posted is very good, as is the Golden Eagle unit... Just make sure that is installed BEFORE the final bore and hone, and install of pistons, to preven cylinder shifting that causes clearances to become whacked....

somebody is trying to sell me a brand new STR block guard, what do u guys think about the STR block guard??

ive used those too, didnt have an issue other i had to oddly grind it down alot to fit ? iunno why but he is pushing 405whp on just a block guard

the str's are good as long as they are properly pressed in, but you are correct, they do need to be shaved...

STR reccomends you resurface the block after install for a good flush install....
