Default Civic Cooling Fan Questions.

does anyone know if the cooling fans, on civic radiators or any honda/acura's engage at a certain speed or temperature. I took it off and the motor is still good, b/c I ran two wires from a battery to it, and it still spins. So if they do not engage while driving a certain speed, then i dont know what it is.

thanks guys,
mike

no they are very quiet when you are in the car, as long as the car is not running hot or overheating it should be fine
