Radio code
ok, So I had to get a new ignition in my 00 Prelude, when they did that they reset the code for the radio, somebody put in the WRONG code 10 times and now it won't do anything... anyway to get around the stock radio code besides buying a new one?
Sorry this doesn't have anything to do with the actuall car... still tech though.
Thanks!

Keep it unplugged for a while and it should let you re-enter the correct code. Take the radio back out and get the numbers from the back of it and call a Honda Dealer.

Nopers, you get the number off the radio, or your car's vin number, and you should be able to get a/the radio code from the dealer, don't let them make you think you have to bring the car in. Tell them THEY fucked it up (if in fact they did), and you want the code to get your radio back.

They didn't fuck it up, I had the ignition done at the same place as the body damage. The frame damage still hasn't been worked on yet, needs some more shit done to it, but since my grandmas transmission went out yesterday and we both have to get to work, she picked up my car... early.... and not done....
It runs. Just I really want the radio working. So I can just call gateway honda and get the code from my VIN or something?
I should have just saved my aftermarket from the eclipse...

giving the VIN to get the code normally only works at the original dealer where the car was purchased.....your best bet is to get the serial # off the bottom and call the dealer and ask for the code.....if they give you any crap, let me know cuz i should be able to get it for you also! good luck!
