Default Adjusting tach?

Is there a way to get the tach in the cluster to read the right rpm? when it was on the dyno it showed it going past 8k rpm which my rev limiter is set at 8,300 but the tach in the car shows 7k when it hits rev limiter, is there a way to calibrate the tach?
