stalled prelude, help !

stalled prelude, help !
while driving a 97 prelude on the interstate, the engine just shut off . had to exit and coasted onto the grass put it in park then it started again, BUT
when i placed it in D, the gear indicator light on the dash kept blinking, the car wouldnt takeoff from 1st and wouldnt shift thru the forward gears, i tried using the shiftronic (or whatever its called for hondas) but it would not go into that mode either
the enine light also same on after that.. any suggestions on the possible source of the prob.
it has stalled out before while driving but has not been
accompanied by the other problems, the next day it seemed to run fine, suugestions for a good mechanic for this, last shop in T-N-C that did a muffler job on the car then all of a sudden bunch of stuff went wrong with it.. thanks for the help

take to the ,dealer brandon honda , tranny is probably going out normal for honda autos 97-02 the stalling out is probably not relatted to the tranny

that really sucks, how should i expect to get pay for it?
