Default del sol swap

I'm picking up a del sol off of a friend of mine for cheap cause it needs some fixin. I want to know what motor/trans combos will fit? are the engine bays the same size/mounts as the civics? it just has a stock d16z6 and i want to put either a b16a2 or a b18b in it as a turbo project. money is no object seeing as how its going to be my daily driver so i got a lot of time to finish it. LMK ur opinion

yes those motors fit in fine, along with b20's h22's and i think someone did a k swap as well. your going to want to think about reg car stuff though such as the seals this summer you will notice that del sols leak like a mother, this is due to people not taking care of their seals, they cost any where from 350-500 bucks for the seals and then installation. they also sometimes leak in the trunk which is an easy fix www.solsociety.com has some good write ups on del sol mods. If you ever want some specific info on the sol let me know i'd be glad to help

92-94 were the civic del sol, in 95 they did away with it, trying to take it away from the civic market. So 95+ is a del sol and 92-94 is a civic del sol

EDIT: but your point that they engine bays are extremely similar has been taken

EDIT2: 92 = crx del sol, 93-94 = civic del sol, 95-98 = del sol

My seals never leaked

No need for mounts if you do a b series swap. All you need are the stock motor mounts for the engine you use, ITR dog bracket, and a Vtec model del Sol shift linkage. PM me if you need any other help, I had a turbo swapped del Sol.
