has anyone ever tried this set up b4?

ok i heard the story of how the ls/vtec came to be but i got a question. is there any way to do something like that for the zc motor? the dohc non vtec. can u build it right and put a vtec head on it? im asking cuz me and my brother were thinking about doing something like this. what do u guys think?

no the money you would spend to build it,you can buy a vtec motor that will be as fast or faster and cost less

it wouldnt be worth it. you would be getting a sohc vtech with no extra potenial. seeing that both put out about the same numbers(125hp-129hp) the more logical swap would be a sohc vtech on a ew or d15, this would create a "mini me" engine, pushing the limits of he 1.5 higher that it was before.
