The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.

I never drove an 04+ yet so I cant say, but I just recently purchased an 03, and I love it. It does seem to lack some torque at lower rpm's, but once it surpasses about 5-6, it feels real nice, pulls strong and purr's

Auto X is 90% on the driver and 10% on the car. But as an answer to the question.....the 01 would be better.
