Default Balancing . .

I just got back from engine lab. And talked to him about the ctr crank pulley. I told him the story on how they are known to shattering oil pumps because there is no harmonic balacner. He said basically " Thats a balacning problem" So iam thinking if iam balacning the whole bottom end with the crank pulley to the machine it would be fine to use.

I already told him that its going to see at the highest 10K although I don't really see any reason to go that high. But just in case, leaves room for error I guess. Iam doing the street performance balance which I think and he said would be best. What do you guys think about this? If not its easy to switch over to a b16 crank pulley.

I recently saw a special on motor balancing and the filmed
it at Engine Lab so I was going to ask the same question.
If you've go the money and you want your motor to last, it
seems worth the $$$ to have your bottom end balanced.
On the show I think the said a 6oz imbalance at 8,000 RPM
is equal to 150 lbs or imbalance!!!
And over time that will destroy your motor.
Not sure who else here in Florida does motor balancing, but
I am looking into it as well.

what does that have to do with what my question is? I just want to know what others think about the ctr pulley being balacned with the bottom end together be find to use on a high rpm motor. Since there are such horror stories of this picticular pulley destroying oil pumps and ruining motors.

Well at the time I found this out about the crank pulley I had already had the bottom end at engine lab and had already bought the ctr crank pulley. So iam thinking well since the motor is getting balacned might as well have it balacned with the crank pulley I want to use. And since the problem with ctr's c.p. is a balacne problem cause its just the c.p itself.

I thought maybe this would cure it, since it is a balanceing issue. I had already paid and plained to get the bottom end balacned using this crank pulley or not.

Yes you will be fine. As long as you balance it with the pulley.

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.

I find that rather interesting, does anyone have any links as to how this process is preformed? and also how much is the average cost of this sort of thing?
