high ass idle

Default high ass idle

when starting my car up when its cold it immeadiately idles at 3k and once warmed up it stays at 2k , i just put some dc sport headers on about 4 weeks before that, could effect it? any way i need input......i'm afraid my shit is goin to break. please help

It's more than likely ur tps (throttle position sensor), does the car ever have a loping idle (up and down, up and down)

my car doesn't lope, i also have the idle screw on top of the throttle body all the way in , what kind of vaccume leaks should i look for?

check the vacuum to the MAP sensor.i had some what the same problem.and the idle was rough..it fixed it. runs great.-Greg

Theres also a sensor thats connected to the bottom of the throttle body that screws in. Mine used to unscrew itself and cause my idle to stay up in the 3 grand range. I screwed it back in with some loctite and havent had any problems since. This is on an integra.

Depending on the motor, the Electronic Air Idle Control Valve
is usually located on the back side of the tb and they do go bad
over time on our cars. You may want to try pulling one off of another car and see if it helps.
