Default itb's on a honda

can you run an open itb set up on a honda with stock ecu, or would it require a standalone or ecu upgrade of some kind?

If you have welding skills and a little bit of fab skill you can put togther an ITB setup for around 500 bucks ...

Guys do it on 4AG Toyota motors for that much and they convert to MAP within the budget

it is able to be done for less than $500 if you can weld yourself. the ITB from a bike cost nomore than $150. then you need some welding and a free b16a manifold. how is that $1k?
but to answer the original question, to run well you would need a custom ecu setup. there is a script for CROME. that allows half of you fuel map to be run off your map sensor and half to run on TPS readings. this is because your map sensor is useless after about 1/2 throttle when using ITB's because you loose all vacume before full throttle. It takes alot to get them to run correctly.

i woudln't do it man...imo.......go on homemadeturbo.com and look at the one's they did....not very impressive, yeah they look cool put as far as performance they are garbage.....i would rather get a skunk2 manifold you can find them for 150-200 used and u dont have to fuck with the tps liek u have to on homemade itb's jsut my .02 man, its what ever floats your boat though.
