Crankshaft micropolishing. ..

Default Crankshaft micropolishing. ..

Is this a must for building a motor for na or for whatever reasons? What are the benifts that micropolishing a crank does for you?

its not a must but if you use new bearings you should do it to make a perfect smooth surface of friction,i do it to all my builds napa has a nice way with honda cranks for only 35bucks you cant beat it but yes i would say do it if you building a motor

A micropolish is ok on a good crank since the material removal is around .00001-2". This is for a good non-scarred crank. A scarred crank from a spun bearings requires alot more material removal is basically junk in my opinion.
