don't forget you still have to buy the fmic the pipe for it the bov the injectors the tune and the uberdata set up

 

I made a custom kit on my old crx under $600 with ghetto fuel management.Car was pushed thru 15lbs for over a month with no detonation ever present.Kit was sold.My dad drives the car to work everyday with the same motor.

 

i think he is planning on keeping his on for more than a month and i don't know if he wants to take as much of a risk as you.

lol i looked there myself before deciding to build my own kit

 

the ssautocrome manifolds are prone to cracking. the turbo's are prone to blowings seals quickly. the wastegates are fairly good(better than a deltagate). the front mount I.C. seems to be good quality(I've seen 4 of them). with that kit you would still need intercooler piping+150(at least) soo its really not that cheap. your better off spending $1000 on a nice used kit.

 

i'd love to go turbo but i don't have the money to risk blowing and motor and the costs that go along with it, so i think the turbo can wait. btw, off topic but, does anyone make exhausts for 99 civic four doors? i know i can buy an exhaust and get it modified to fit, or go custom, but can i buy one that will fit out of the box? how much would a custom exhaust run? 2.25" stainless cat back?
