Default Wastegate

Ok i already have a turbonetics deltagate markII wastegate and i have been told to sell it and get something else by the guy i bought my turbo from, i like the wastegate i think it looks nice and i don't see how its going to creep, doug has it on his car and his doesn't creep at all. So should i just sell it and go tial or should i keep it. Give me your opinions please.

if it helps i'm going to be running around 10lbs of boost and i'm going to be using a drag manifold for my sc50 turbo

90% of the turbo industry preffers tial.
deltagate's have a reputation for not being able to handle higher amounts of boost

high boost is like saying someone is rich, it's subjective ( to a point) to us a millionaire is rich, to bill gates not so. 10psi isn't "high" but the nickname "Meltagate" didn't come around on the deltagates for no reason.

tial all the way. check ebay they are cheaper than most other places and maybe you can pawn off the wg you have no to someone on ebay as well.

ok, i still don't see why he shouldn't just use it......It's not like his going to be pushing 15lbs, or even 11lbs for that matter... I do agree TIAL is better, but the meltagate will work and not creep. As you stated, mine is doing fine at 10-11lbs.......It's really whatever you want man...I really doubt its going to effect the performance or HP of your car. And it wont creep b/c when you get it tuned by dave you can make it PERFECT and you wont have any "creeps" ....Just keep an eye on your boost gauge if you are really that woried about it creeping.....I doubt it with the PSI you will be running tho........save your money and keep it!

As Cronic said... Do NOT run that w/g with a boost controller. Historically, it's the use of this gate with a boost controller that causes catastrophic failure.

The largest spring you can buy for it is for 9-13 psi.
