500$ for a tranny rebuild??

im about to rebuild secong gear for a 2000si tranny.. im getting charged about 500$ for parts and labor.. anybodys opinion on the price would be appriciated and if anybody knows anyone that could do it cheaper and still a good job wouldnt mind taking suggestions... thanks

thats alot for just one gear i no some on tr will do it cheapper and done right

I charged $150-$200 for me to rebuild if someone brings me the tranny. Thats not including parts. Which may vary.

Dealership is 10 hours, btw. $75 an hour x 10 = $750 + parts
