well.....i put a new clutch in my 88 prelude.....finnnaly get everything put back together and start it.....runs fine, revs fine, but clutch is a little limp...so i turn it off and bleed the clutch and start it again. it started fine, idoled fine, then when i try to rev it, it feels like its chokin out, or missin a cylinder until like 2500rpms and then its fine, let it go back down and try it again, and it just dies......i tryed to start it again and i just kept turnin over and over and over and then BAM.....i big ass backfire and still not runnin.....what the heck could that be?

fuel filter,fuel pump..or cloged fuel rail....replace the cheapest thing first until you get the problem fixed..

did you take the dizzy off? maybe its off timing..... maybe the distributor is going bad..
