Default Automatic Transmission ?

Does anyone know where the tranny filter is on a 93 civic 1.5 DX hatch.i have searched here and about 50 pages on google and nothing came up . When i got under the car i was expecting to see a tranny pan like most cars would have.Do you have to take the end cover of the transmission off or something.

You have to remove the atf pan to access it.
Before you do, you must remove the low passenger side mount....

I recommend you get an atf pan gasket & a torque wrench to tq down the atf pan bolts to 8.7 lbs

Is this a pic for the 96-00 civic ? I could be mistaken but when i was under the car last night my tranny didnt have any bolts around the bottom of the tranny. It looked like one piece casting, the only bolts i saw were on the end of the tranny facing the passenger side tire. I will look again, but thanks for all the help.BTW if ya have any real pics post em.

thanks

This pic is of a 96-00 tranny.... I would have assumed the 92-95 trannys are the same, I guessed wrong.

I just looked in my 92-95 civic manual & it doesnt clearly show any auto tranny filter at all....
