k20 swap
ok....to start this off i was thinking on a k20a swap in a ek hatch....now to start off does anyone have any expirience with these??
will the axles sit weird if the car is lowered
wiring is going to be a definite project...correct?
and ive heard that i will have to cut the firewall out??
if anyone knows anything or has any input....lemme no

With the Hasport kit axle alignment shouldn't be a problem. As long as you have the complete USDM harnerss, wiring should not be too bad, but I'm not sure about what it takes to make all of your dash funtions work properly. From what I've seen in pictures, you don't have to cut the firewall for the shift cables, I beleive there is a unit that bolts through your factory shift linkage hole and allows usage of your center console. You will have to have a custom header made, a quick search on Honda-Tech should give you the people making them. One thing I did see recently is a picture of a custom oil pan thats bottom and baffle angles have been changed to accomidate the angle difference of the motor. One of the major magazines recently had a complete swap outline but I can't remember which one, but I saw it recently so a trip to the Magazine racks should answer the rest of your questions.

do some search on honda-tech.com. that swap has been done a few times now. get ahold of one of the guys who did and they should be able to point you in the right direction. i dont know of anyone in tampa that has done the swap. good luck man

Not anyone in Tampa has done the swap. I was contemplating to do it in an EG but then moved on to other thigns unfortunately. I can imagine how versatile of a swap tha twould be. By just adding cams, header, and a ecu reflash you gain like 40hp. It's insane.

k20 = kickass engine. choked to shit from the factory to meet cali LEV-II emissions. that is why it responds to mods so well.

i was looking around on hasports site the other day and i think i saw that they had a header for the k series swap in a civic, wait it might been on jhpusa 
not sure, but i did see it. bobo if you do this keep the ek lookin gangster like it does cuz no one would ever expect it
