Default Is it worth it?

buying new usdm itr coated pistons w/rings,wristpins..for 150$..is it going to be worth time and money pulling the motor having the cylinders bored .25 and putting it back together on a limited buget..i was told im looking at und 1000$ to complete it.while its apart im lookng to balacne the crank port the head, bearings, vacuum lines etc pretty much a tear down and rebuild, with the aceptions of the pistons and bearings..is it worth not having a car for a month or so...or should keep my money for other uses...Btw the car is running very off, rich, vacum leaks, idling rough etc.....over 100k on the b18a ..is the rebuild in order?

porting to me is good on a honda head at engine labs just get the exusht side ported it will save you money plus thay will also do your boring cheap but of course it worth if you think about it with the new pistons and rings your motor will be much happier and last long with no smokeing plus replace bearings and all for even longer life so yes it is worth it and will give you a lil more power

Wow all that work, with limited budget. Dude, you got some money. A local shop quote me 1000.00 just for swap ctr pistons, plus bearing and rings on a b16a2.

I say I pulled pretty good on u with usdm itr pistons, but I would go with stock bore, pr3's or p30's, shaved head to the marker, and mild p&p.
