Default Getting no spark

1997 civic hatchback CX. I have had no problems with my car. since ive owned it, except twice now ive lost the spark.
Its not the Distributer cap, plugs, or coil, they are all brand new. I smell gas, so i dont think its the fuel filter either... anything to help would be much appreciated.

Im not getting any effort at all as far as it even trying... Im thinking that it may be the plug wires, they where hanging low and the heat from the headers might have got to them. I see some damage... But still wouldnt it try to start if it was the wires?

yes but unless all the wires went bad at the same time then you will at least get some pop from the good wires firing you might want to check your wireing or ecu

If your not getting any spark then it os more than likely the ignitor in the distributor. The fuel smell could be coming from you flooding the car the more you try to crank it over.

The ingnitor and iginiton coil are two different things. It wouldn't matter if you were pumping the gas or not it is still putting fuel into the motor trying to get the car started. With no spark the fuel doesn't get burned off.
