top dead center sensor?
Usually it has to do with the TDC sensor in your distributor.
For some reason when my old ls setup threw this code a new cap & rotor resolved the issue... Don't ask me why...
Easiest fix is to find a known working distributor for your vehicle & try it out
Good Luck.

If the vehicle has a crank sensor, this is probably the problem. I have had a CRV at my shop throw the same code and after checking and testing a new dist., it ultimately came down to the crank sesnor. Look down by your alt. and see if you have a 2-pin plug that goes behind the timing cover, if so your vehicle has this sensor and it is very possibly your issue.
