Default motor lacking power...

I have a stock d15b7 in my 94 hatch, all I have is a chipped ecu and an intake. Lately ve been noticing it is lacking power in second and third gear. This is kinda hard to explain but ill do my best. first gear I go through with no problem. then when i shift into second if i floor it it will seem kinda non responsive between 3-4500 RPMS. Then in third its even worse, sometimes it will lack power all the way from 3-5500 rpms. Im kind of stumpped on what it could be. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions? And sometimes the car will idle, either to high (1000-1200 rpms) and sometimes so low it almost stalls. I have no clue what it could be.

first thing i would do is switch the ecu and put in a stock one and see if there is any change if not then probably check timing, plugs, cap, and rotor
