i am trying to buildup my bottom end and need to know what parts to get and from what car and year. also is there a bottom end rebuild kit that i can purchase that can make this less complex? i know most type r parts if not all are interchangeable with this motor (the b-16a). i know will need to get the
1 crank seal and main seal
2 crankshaft bearings or main bearings
3 type r oil pump
4 oil pan gasket
5 arp rod bolts
already got pistons and going to use the stock rods. my application will be ALL MOTOR
also got pretty much everything for my head and what i do not have i will get soon.
water pump is relatively new and will get a new timing belt and tensioner.
if i have left out anything that i would need please feel free to comment. THANKS ALL

eh, why not go with some H-beams and forged pistons? stock crank sould be fine along with OEM bearings. also, are you gonna be boosting or all motor? if you're gonna rebuild it, why not make it "bullet-proof" at the same time, i mean, while you got it all apart, it would be a good opportunity.

yes i meant rebuild it, so for that motor what oem bearings do i get?

if it's a stock b16 crank, b16 bearings should be just fine, just make sure you get the right sizes, find someone who is really good with a plastiguage.

so i can get bearings from like a 2000 civic si? what about the seals? also what sizes is there for that motor, a first gen b-16a.

you can get full bottom end gasket sets from autozone if you want.

i would recomend getting oem bearings and JE or OEM rings.

come on Jay help tompsons out : o) Call tompsons auto thay have the best you can get a full rebuild kit if you go aftermarket bearings Like i say cause thay are alot cheaper then honda but other say only oem tompsons has everything and can get you anything I have some 00 b16 rods already with Arp2000 studs i will sell you if you want o save money thay are heat treated glass shot if you need any info pm me i will give you info or help thay even sell New typeR oilpumps for 140
