Im going to go ahead and blame the Ignition system somewhere. Not the plugs. Possibly the wires. Something tells me the dizzy could be the culprit, or if you have an MSD cap w/ external coil. I woudl start there, and go back to stock.

My car used to randomly break up underboost, I changed the cap back to stock, and never had a problem.
