bay city clutches does that... They reuse the stock disc, but use a new surface and respring it... They have what they call a stage one, which is a stock clutch, re-padded with a metallic/organic material, that is actually pretty good.... a friend of mine got a stage 4 which was a 4 puck unsprung disk with a carbon metallic surface, and it is still fine after 3 years of hard use....

yeah if you're talking about bay city you wont get scammed and they do good work there my pressure plate was all messed up the metal strapt that hold the disc to the plate were all broken and they rebuilt it an almost 2 years later it still works great

Alot of aftermarket clutch companies want you to return your core. They do re-use some OE parts. My stage 3 Clutchmaster was that way. $1600 plus return the core.

It holds 500HP just fine. But they rework the internals. Seems like they only re-use the shell of the pressure plate. Everything else was new.
