bay city clutches does that... They reuse the stock disc, but use a new surface and respring it... They have what they call a stage one, which is a stock clutch, re-padded with a metallic/organic material, that is actually pretty good.... a friend of mine got a stage 4 which was a 4 puck unsprung disk with a carbon metallic surface, and it is still fine after 3 years of hard use....

Alot of aftermarket clutch companies want you to return your core. They do re-use some OE parts. My stage 3 Clutchmaster was that way. $1600 plus return the core.
It holds 500HP just fine. But they rework the internals. Seems like they only re-use the shell of the pressure plate. Everything else was new.

lol. Insanity on the NSX clutch.
Bay city built my current clutch for my Z. Very good stuff. 4 puck, sprung, stock PP and Flywheel. Holds 22psi very nicely, and no problems.
My Civic has a stage 1 organic, and I didn't like it. Perhaps I was making too much power, but it didnt grab well in between gears. I always get my clutches from Bay City.
