When im accelerating through 1st right before im about ready to change into second my oil pressure gauge goes all the way up to 100 psi then goes right back to 75

it seems like this only happens after i have been driving for a little bit.

just wondering if this is anything to worry about or if any one knows what could be causing it.

if the cars not warmed up all the way and the oil is a bit thicker the bypass valve in the oil pump wont be able to bypass all the extra oil back into the pan at higher rpms when the oil pump is spinning faster. no big deal just dont beat on your car when its cold

 

it only does this when its hot i never beat on it when its cold lol to much time into it to do any thing harmfull lol its like my first born.
