well i need some advice, as most of you know my turbo si is for sale. BUT here is what i want to do...............

swap the turbo motor into my hatch and put a 99gsR into the coupe, the gsR has itr pistons, new bearings, skunk 2 I/M, ITR cams, new DC header, cam gears, and a bunch of other ITR shit. i can let the coupe go for much less and get it sold.

and then transplant the turbo motor into my hatch


what do you fellow TR members think??? its alot of work. but i can let my coupe go for like 9 or 10 grand which is much more affordable and alot less than the blue book value plus the buyer makes out like a champ with a really nice motor, much better than a B16.

i think i need someone to push me over the edge to swap in the turbo motor in my hatch

 

i think you should let me put my 2001 gsr motor in your car for you, and for all my hard work you can give me your turbo motor as a fair trade
i don't think that much work is involved in swaping the two motors. i say go for it, you'll win both ways. sell your si for less money, and not put any money into your hatch trying to make it as fast as your si was. plus your hatch will be alittle faster.

 

Just swap the turbo over and leave the B16. Its alot less work.

 

Swap it, and build an LS bottom end for that beast!!!!

Im down to help you just to see what that thing will do in a hatch.... Hit a cracka up!!!!

 

thanks guys, i am a little neurotic and this issue kept me up most of the night and what little i did sleep was dreaming about the damn shit.................

so im pretty much set on swapping over the turbo into the hatch, the only reason i wanna swap it over and not just the turbo set up is because the B16 is completely built and the gsr is built for higher compression and i dont feel like dealing with that issue at all

okay okay, i talked it over with the old lady and she actually approves and recommends it to keep me away from the 2 stage nitrous kit that is in the hatch right now.............you gotta love the "safety issue" bargain tool with loved ones!!!!!!!!!!!!
