transmission questions
Tried searching for this info, but with no luck.
Little history, im used to removing the trannys in mustangs and my AWD DSM. I am purchasing a honda and I know one of the first things im going to do is LSD and clutch/flywheel.
The car has a B16a and i'm going to want to remove the tranny and have it out for a while so i can get some extra work done to it. Problem I see is that the mounts in the car are only on the one side and that leaves the motor just hanging there.
When removing a tranny on a lift how do you do it? anyone got a walkthrough (i saw a clutch one that showed the pan holding the engine up with a jack)
Anyone done it before and had the car sit without a tranny for an extended period of time?

ya i figured as much.... looks like its not going to be easy. Reason I ask is i have access to a lift and shop (base autoshop) just wanted to find some way to secure it. Makes me wonder how they even do a tranny removal on a lift... guess its not done much.
the rear mount is attached to the engine so it would only hang a bit in the front. like cronic said it will hang fine but if its gonna sit like that for a while i would try to leave a jack under the engine.
