J/w the questionable times on this CRX
my friend just bought a 88 crx with an ls Vtec swap. kinda built w/ skunk 2 intake manifold, b16a1 head, itr cams, itr pistons, and cam gears, also rc injectors (not sure of the size). anyways, there may be a few other things involved but im pretty sure the stocker exhaust is still on it, along with a vtec controller. he claims this car went 11.8 on slicks.... is there anyway a built n/a b16/ls crx could do even 12's in the 1/4??? im not A honda guru so someone let me know whats up. hes claiming he will kick my 2002 SLP camaro SS' Ass..... plz fill me in... thanks!!
seems more like a mid 12 second car to me and that is completely stripped. If prepped real well it may be an 11 sec but I doubt it.

run him show him its not fast, im sure with the right tires/driver it could go 12s, what tranny dose he have ,any head work besides cams ..big thing is how much tuning has it had ,any ecu work ..with the mods u just said, i wouldnt think he had more than 175whp...
hes claiming 200 whp. but like i said im no honda tech guy so i wouldn't know. he probly doesnt have any tune at all, and its doubtful any ecu work. rode in the car today and it was far from impressive, but then again i drive a ls1 so go figure... but he still claims my car is no match for his from a dig, roll, or otherwise. i think hes full of shit on top of him being a horrible driver. i asked him to run for 200 bux if he was so confident and he was very quick to decline. also i asked if he would wanna race and the winner takes the other 1's car just being funny but with a serious tone, his crx being worth like 2k my camaro being like 23k again he quickly declined and said he isnt a very good driver. im gonna get us racing on video and embarass his ass in front of everyone. i don't think a b16 all motor crx can do 11's.. i know they weigh next to nothing but i just dont see it. aside from being completely stripped down to bare nothing and FULLY BUILT i just dont see it
if ur talkin about jasons setup, its fuckin nasty man................ 90 b18a1 block, b16a SiR II head with..full race port and polish, 5 angle calve job, shaved 30 thousandths, block is decked 5 thousandths, ITR valve springs and retainers, ITR cams, STR cam gears, .25 over ITR pistons, Shotpeened LS rods, AEM fuel rail, RC 270cc injectors, mugen chipped pr3 ecu (4500 vtec, no rev limiter), holley fuel pressure regulator, exeddy stage 2 clutch, dc 4-1 header, VAFC (still needs tuning)
i have no doubt in my mind this thing will run high 11's on slicks... and if u rode in it today, those tires are 100% BALD with treads showing.......... line em up!

ryan, i hate the fact that u think because its a honda, it will not beat a v8, no matter what it is.. trust me, with a tune and tires your camaro is mine.. u just dont understand that weight is an issue and with 200whp in a crx with slicks, anything is possible.. when its tuned and on tires, come see me...
alrighty J, as you know i too will have Dr's and a lid when we "line em up" hope you improve your driving skill or else im gonna douche you pretty nasty, and i got a lotta top end on ur ass, so don't be pissed when ur honda gets rock chips all in the paint.... hahaha BTW i wanna do this in front of alot of people... more pointing and laughing always softens the blow of defeat...
