is there head work to be done???
i have a b16a head wich is off a 88-91 and has under 30k miles on it is there any thing i have to rebuild as internals? valves,cams,springs,retainers,ect. i dont want it to screw up on me when its on my block give me ur reccemendation,opinions, ideals thanx.

If it only really has 30K on it then you should be fine but you could have it flowbench tested by a machine shop

88-91 and it only has 30k? that odd if you ask me. but me personally, i dont like to use other peoples problems. i would recommend replacing everything xcept cams. or atleast upgrade your internals to type r's

30K is unheard of on such an old head. I call BS.
Take it to a machine shop, have them check the seals, and hot tanked/cleaned.
A flowbench isn't something that every machine shop has, and it only for performance testing.
Definatly have it checked out. I guarantee you it has more then 30k. More like 130k.

i got the head from inlinefour so it wasnt no ones problem i was thinking bout puttin type r in it
