aftermarket shocks blew WTF!

to check the shock, remove it and push down the cylinder and see if it rebounds and comes back up.

also, you may have touched the shock cylinder with your tools and put a gouge in them or nicked them causing them to blow. back in the day my brother-in-law took his car to greg(banana) to install his shocks. there was a sticker on the shock that said "do not touch cylinder with tools". instead of that bastard using a allen key to keep the cylinder from spinning while he put on the top nut, he used a pair of vise-grips on the cylinder to keep it from turning, the shocks blew out on the way home.

+1 for tokico running 2 years with the blues and no probs. I don't know anything on dropzone, but I will def keep using the blues even after this set goes out.

Yeah well thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to let you guys know how the dropzone shocks are when i get this resolved....should be soon. I thought more people ran these dropzones. Oh well

Did u see any oil come out beneth the shocks? If u did, 100% they're blown! Good luck.

i blew my kyb agx but that was my fault

just buy a new 50dollar drop zone strut not a big deal

Damn, how did u kill one of those? I had a full set on my Integra for over 3 years, driving the POS streets of Tallahassee and having the car continuously lower itself more and more. They were still good as new when I took them off and put the car back to stock before I sold it.

i over torqured the lug nut on top by accident. As i said it was my error. lol. the whole top part of the adjusting thing broke off. it wasw kinda werid cause i though it would strip but the whole threaded piece broke off
