just while you have the head off take it to clearwater cyl. head and get 25k shaved off it and pop it back on...it's very light head work but a nice diffrence and cheap as well if you try and get a gasket to raise the comprestion you will spend more than you get out of it but with a simple shave of 25k you will put your cyl. psi at around 200-210psi per cyl. you need to have the head decked anyway if it has had a blown head gasket, and let me be clear you dont have to get it decked but it's a good idea to,
so in short it's a good idea to get it decked and while it's there i would get it shaved 25k while it's off you know....

if you go this direction make sure you get an adjustable cam gear to set the cam back to TDC

true the car do's run just a bit more ruff but I myself realy dont mind it....but a ACG will help put it back a hair, it will be out by about 1/2 a tooth or so....and if you deside to do any P&P work or oversized valve
s you want to look into uping your fuel supply a bit
but anyway keep us uptodate I alway's like to see head work done to the VX it's an interesting head it has smaller valve's but the chamber fill make's up for it the flow of the VX head is a bit slower but I but still a very intersting head to build
