ok well i got a loan and now i am gonna buy my buddies 91 teg. anyways, i went to hmotorsonline.com and i found the b16a1 for 1250. + shipping. then they have the same deal with motor mounts and axles for 1500. anyways, do i need the axles and mms? doesn't it just drop right in? anyways, i am buying the aem pullies and a new t-belt that way the belts are fine. other than that, anything else i need?

 

ok well i just got off the phone with the owner of hmotorsonline and he said that i still need the aftermarket mounts cuz the jdm b16a wont fit in the U.S. cars. without aftermarket motor mounts. he also said that i need the axles and shit like that. is he bullshiting me? just wonderin what i need so that i can start ordering all my shit tomorrow.

 

I'd go ahead and do timing belt, oil pump, and water pump regardless. If you're strapped for cash, at the very least, remove all three and check tolerances. As for the swap, it's basically a bolt-in procedure assuming you are opting for a cable tranny.

 

I do not believe steve provides you with an ecu unless you request it or you purchase a complete swap.

You will need a vtec ecu & you will need to wire vtec etc...

Save your money & don't buy aem pulleys, buy other things that will make life better 1st like an exedy street strip clutch etc...

 

the $1250 kit comes with everything: cable tranny, ecu, motor, etc. anyways, i dont need the axles or motor mounts so i am not dropping the extra cash for that. anyways, i am gonna buy some parts like clutch, t-belt, pullies right off that way everything is alright. so, now i hope that everything is there when i got the motor and shit.

 

o yeah, 1 more question for u folks, i am buying a header right away, will that bolt up to my cat or no? i know that they dont come with downpipes. where can a get a dp that would fit my header to the car. i plan on getting the dc header btw. thanx

 

buy the dc header, it will hook up to everything. motor and cat that is.
