sometimes when i first start my car,,my tac doesnt work,it will jsut remain at 2K rpms or something,,and after i drive for a few mins,it will work normal again,but when starting to work again,it is extremely jumpy and unsteady


whats wrong with it? i went to TN for 5 days so i didnt drive it in that 5 day period,i come back and it is like that,didnt have the problem before i left...car sat in garage with the hood open

 

I'd say a squirrel got in your hood and had lunch on some wires...

lol mine does that now also after me and a buddy hooked up a MSD ignition and put some of the wires backwards.

i already changed out the actual tack in the gauge cluster and that didnt fix it so my next guess is whatever sends the tack signal in the dizzy.
