Default PLEASE HELP< S2000 question

ok, just to let you know im 20 and am not dumb when it comes to vehicles, For my honda background I used to own a GSR and did all the work myself, that outta the way.

My father just bought my mom a 2000 S2000 at an auction today, its a great find, good body, motor, interior.

however we have 3 problems(besides the fucking hurricane,lol)\

1.reverse is a bitch to get into, I know your spossed to push down on it, I called honda and they said you have to resyncronize by going into 1st 1st which makes sense. Any more info on this?

2. Its real fucking shaky, going over bumps, lots of noise, prob due to the top but does this happen to your cars?

3.My dad just went to pick up my mom from work(hurricane) so Id figure after im done detailing it ill take her for a spin for that 9K rush, well it revved quick got real raspy around 6K(didnt sound like vtec, more like a vaccumm cleaner sucking up a shit load of sand at full power. And when I got back, something didnt feel right, so i popped the hood to find the damn oil cap off and stuck behind the firewall and valve cover, and oil everywhere, well I had to add 3 quarts to make it right. Also it reved real fast, prob cause there was no oil to slow the crank down, but when I got home and added oil the engine ran alot smoother, (duh)

ANY damage if this only happened for a 2minute ride?

Also how many quarts does the motor take?

2000 gunmetal S2000 44K miles, stock.

Thanks guys.

could've caused some minor bearing wear.

get and alignment done, and have the wheels balanced.

Why would I need to balance the wheels if the motor ran low on oil, wtf? lol

how many quarts does it take?

it's a 2.0l so the crankcase capacity should be right around 4.5 quarts.
