cutting windage tray for more oil,good bad?

Default cutting windage tray for more oil,good bad?

i want to be able to take my Lsvtec to 9-10 but dont want to worry about oil and i new with my b16 it wa so easy with the oil squarters covering it but of course lsblock does not have it so im thinking if i cut 1"by2" around each rod will more oil cyclone up or will it just slow me down i have a 8Lb flywheel and 1Lb pully so much stress on the crank is ok let me no anyone

that is dumb,rev it to 9 anyway,an i doubt the cams youll be using would make much power past that.

windage tray is to stop oil slosh not to prevent flow

You should really figure out what the purpose of a part is before you go hacking it up. The purpose of a windage tray is to reduce crank drag. Cutting holes in it isn't going to "cyclone" oil up into the cylinder bores.

oil pressure is not stopping you from revving to 9k. if u really want more oil pressure try shimming the oil pump, but like i said its not really necessary at all as the factory gsr oil pump is pretty good as it is

If anything you would want to add a crank scraper. The oil squirters on b-series are for cooling not lubrication.
