Isn't there a switch/button up underneath the dash on the driverside? That's where it is on my Teg so maybe its the same.

 

You're right...it is just a 7,500 mi checkup\maint reminder. The reset on my Si is in the lower middle of the cluster.

 

um yea they are to get you into a dealer to have maintenance done at scheduled intervals, they are there for a reason, take it in, won't cost you much being this is your first maintenance. that or get a facotry service manual and do it yourself. it needs to be checked every 7,500. please don't half-ass it scott.

 

For the elements i think it is the same for the K-series. I know its in the owners manual.

If it is not flashing and staying lit, then I think you have to take it in to a dealership to have it turned off. Try holding down the trip button trick. It should be in the manual(how to turn it off). Next time when it starts flashing turn it off with the trip button. Hold the trip down then turn the acc. on(do not start the car!), keep holding the trip down untill the light goes off then turn the key off and let go of the trip button. This is how it is done in the 02-04 si. Check your manual first before doing this.
