Anyone have a service manual from Honda for a 99 integra GS? I'm trying to see what tools are needed and what all is involved to do a valve adjustment so i can do this myself. any help is appreciated, thanks!

 

rachet
10mm socket
12mm socket
19mm socket
an extension
flathead screwdriver
feeler gauges (.004 intake, .007exhaust)
and about 30 minutes and your done

and how exactly do you measure the clearance, like the process in detail? thanks.

k, i got the feeler gauges, now what about the process?

 

make sure u get the angled feeler gauges or else youll have a serious problem.

process in a nutshell is:
start with the motor at TDC then do cylinder 1, rotate the crank counterclockwise 90degrees then do cylinder 3, rotate another 90 then do cylnder 4 then another 90 and do cylinder 2.

theres obviously a little more too it but youre measuring the clearance between the cam and the rocker

 

i did get the angled gauges!!!! go me!

sounds simple enough, and if it needs adjusting?

 

loosing the locking nut, turn the adjustment screw with a flathead, then tighten it down. make sure the screw doesnt turn more when u go to tighten the nut tho
