Ok got a 91 ls in a 88 crx. I spun a rod bearing. Now I know that I need a new crank (got that already), But can I use the same rod that had the spun bearing on it?


I got some stock rods and piston from some one on here and the numbers on the pistons and rods are different then the ones on my piston and rods. Can i still use the piston and rod i got? If so then how can i clean them. They are oil soaked. And the piston got a lot of carbon on them?

its not a new rod and piston its just some stock one out of a ls

and the piston reads pr4 .08

the rods reads pr4 65-
and the bearing part on the rod reads 35-pr4

yes you can use them if thay are from a ls but are you sure what do the other rods numbers say?

ok thanks i use Standard size rings and bearings right???

uhhhhhhh, take it to someone who's really good with a plastiguage and can do the rings, there's markings on the block which tell you which bearings to use.
