one reason a zc is better than the ultra played out b16...cost. look how much a good used engine center charges for both motors.
*EXAMPLE*(better prices may be found, who cares?)*EXAMPLE*
COMPLETE B16a changeover.....$1,499.00 PLUS shipping. shipping is going to be alot of money because this is 1. alot of crap included and 2. it's heavy.
DOHC ZC LONGBLOCK (all you really need if you have an 88 - 91 civic/crx).....$525.00 PLUS shipping. this won't be too much to ship because there isn't much to it.
You can use alot of parts from 88 - 89 intergas and 88 - 91 civic/crxes for replacement parts, so they are generally (not always) cheaper to maintain/fix, where as B16 parts are usually expensive. so if you just buy them and put them in (si transmission on the ZC of course) you have a price difference of roughly $974.00 before taxes and shipping. how much does 30 HP cost these days?
second reason ZC's are better, more of a challenge. You've got an all motor zc running 13's even 14's or better and you get props. You've got an "H22 hatch", like i heard before in this topic, you better not lose to pretty much anything or you'll get ragged on BAAAADDD. sure it looks cool, but I don't know anyone that spends lots of time and money to swap a big engine in and not race it.

i am happy with my zc engine, now the question is, do you have black top or brown top, because brown top they are piss of shit, black top is the best zc ever race, 1/4 mile 13.8 just 2 1/4 pipe with flow master muffler, fuel rail, aem fuel regulator, msd, dc heather, stage 2 clutch.
