Default Where to get car tuned?

Looking for a reputable person/shop to tune my EK. Car has jdm h22 w/t3/t4 turbo. Currently has a base map in it made by Kenji I believe. Running p28 w/Uberdata. I'd like to get her tuned asap and prefer to have it tuned on a dyno vs. street tune. Thanks.

I have been street tuning at a couple undisclosed locations, thanks to Blake and his Uberdata skillz, and I gotta say, Im now a firm believer in street tuning.... If you can street tune with a wideband, I believe you can release a little more of your cars potential.... When you tune on a dyno, of course, you are looking for peak horsepower, etc... But on the street, you use the ass dyno, which means you just go for what feels best, and makes your car run the hardest... As long as you have conservative timing (mine is only at like 17 degrees for now) and a good air fuel ratio (were keeping mine right around 12.4:1 for now, which is a little rich) you should have no worries....

Although I do kinda agree that you can get the safest tune on a dyno, and you dont run the risk of getting tickets, or getting arrested...

I would say call Glenn over at Hybrid Performance again, and reserve the Dyno for an hour or two, then talk to Blake and see if you throw him some cash, maybe hed be interested in going to the dyno with you and helping out a bit.....

Itll probably go a little richer if we decide to add more timing, but for now we are keeping the timing very conservative..... We've been keeping it between about 11.6 and 12.4:1 and it feels really good.....

I have a question on the timing.. Adam told me to set my timing to stock and that the uberdata would retard it xº per 1lb boost. So I went to Sears Sunday and picked up a timing light. I plugged in the service plug, powered up the timing light, clamped #1 plug wire and inorder to light the light up, I need to retard my timing as far as it will go... this doesn't make sence. I tried it and took the car for a spin and it ran like complete ass. Do I need to purchase the timing light with the adjustment knob? If so.. any idea what degree to set it to? Thanks.

Yea I would do a dyno tune cause I think it would be better. I was going to get my CTR dyno tuned by KJ using Uberdata, before I knew about Blake, and he said it would take about 2 hrs but closer to 1 hr of dyno time. So I guess reserve 2 hrs just to be sure.

never been dissasembled and it was set with the p13. But when I checked the timing it was way out and to line up the cross on the flywheel with the pointer, I needed to retard it as far as it would go and it still wasn't lined up properly. Now I'm unsure as to what its set to..

Call me crazy but i drive down to the place that made your manifold on your car. He is one of the best tuners in the country. The cars that he has tuned are some of the fastest around. People spend all that time and money on their cars and when it comes to the most important thing (tuning) and they skimp out. There are good tuners locally but i want the best.
