Default crx won't accelerate- help!

hey guys, you all have alot of info to give, so i figured i'd ask.

my manual crx hf, which i love the hell out of, has all of a sudden stop wanting to accelerate.

at first, i could take it up to about 3000 rpm in each gear, but after that, accelerating would only make the car shake.

now it does that around about 2000 rpm, so its just getting progressively worse. is it just a bad sensor?

any help is appreciated.
