i was cruising on the highway and all of a sudden i heard a big "POP" and then my car turned off in the middle of the road. it sounded like an explosion or something and it also sounded like it came out of the muffler. when i tried to turn the car on there was white/grey smoke coming out of my air intake/intake manifold. when it turns on, the whole car shakes. it sounds like crap. the only thing i hope is that nothing happened to the block. what do you guys think about this. any suggestions. what im thinking is that it may be something to do with the valves, but then again i would like to hear your suggestions. thanks.

 

check cam timing
check compression
check for spark intensity
check fuel pressure and flow volume

yesterday i started up the car after i put brand new spark plugs on it. today i went to take out the spark plugs again and three of them look brand new like i had just put them in. could it be the distributor? or what? any suggestions?

 

ok , i just checked the spark on my plugs and only one sparks and the rest dont. could it be the coil in the distributor? someone let me know.

 

maybe timing?

 

check engine light come on? if so, what code(s) are you throwing?
