Default car died???

I was driving in fifth gear going 60mph, and my car just died....The radio still works(turns on when key is turned), horn blows etc...Car will not turn over, jumped it and nothing....I have 2 10" subs with an 800watt amp with stock battery and alternator....I'm not really good with this stuff...My friend and I think it's the alternator but it was dark and had no tools to get any further...Any thoughts on what it could be?

Check the remote/ground/power to the starter, If it doesn't crank.

If it does crank, Check fuel, Timing, Spark.
