Ok im thinking about building a gsr motor from scatch and swap it into my ls. im gonna have it built for turbo.


what are some of the things i would need.
so far im am guessing a
gsr guage cluster,
gsr ecu

does the ls motor mounts line up with the gsr??

would it be better to use my ls tranny because of the longer gears or should i buy a gsr tranny

obd2 to obd1 conversion
if i am buildin the motor can i just change the wiring to be a obd1 if its a obd2 motor, or would the conversion make life easier.

i am thinking about building from block up and ill progress as soon as i get more cash. so this wont be a 2 month project.

i would get a gsr cluster

motor mounts are teh same

use a gs-r tranny

go obd 1

 

Wanna sell your 4dr(or tade it for 2 hatchs?..lmk),But y not just go Ls/Vtec and get better results?

 

And I dont think mounts are the same.....

 

this motor should bolt straight in a ls right.

 

mounts are the same, gsr tranny imo is stronger, you dont NEED a gsr cluster, and go obd1, better programming options.

 

depending on the year, the drivers mounts are different... the gsr is usually a 2 stud mount, and the 94-up LS (b18b) is 2 stud and one bolt mount....
