swaping a manual block with a auto tranny???????/
I have a 88 civic 4 door with a d15 and a auto tranny, i have a extra d16 block so im swaping it out. the only problem is my civic is auto and the d16 is out of a manual tranny car. I got all of it apart and now im wondering can you take a block from a manual car and put it on a auto tranny? and what do you do with the clutch? take it off leave it on? If i made this confusing just tell me.

take the clutch off, put the convertor off the d15 block onto the d16. the blocks are the same (as far as auto or manual).

You have to switch flywheels AND flywheel bolts...
